Teaching Ideas: Chinese New Year
We recently read "Lion Dancer" and studied a bit about the Chinese New Year.

I found this great link with downloadable worksheets, bookmarks, and posters for each of the animals in the Chinese Zodiac:

I didn't do it this year, because I ran out of time, but I thought it would be really cool to use these posters to have the kids write about themselves and use the characteristics of their animal to describe themselves and WHY that word would describe them.
Anyway, thought I would share - this could be a fun activity to plan for next year!
